On behalf of Pastor Anthony L. Bennett, the disciples of Mount Aery Baptist Church and the New Disciples Orientation Ministry, we welcome you with great joy and celebration to your new church home.

Your role as a new disciple of Mount Aery requires that you enroll in the New Disciples Orientation classes. The Orientations are designed for all new disciples. We offer two options for completing the Orientation:

OPTION I: Classes consist of 5 topics. You can complete one topic per Sunday. These are held in the Wilson Hall every 2^nd, 3^rd, and 4^th Sunday of the month from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM. (The 1^st Sunday of each month is solely devoted to worship and communion and on the 5^th Sunday we fellowship together during our Community Time in Bass Hall).

OPTION II: You can complete the Orientation during a half-day Saturday class, from 9:00 AM to 12 Noon, which covers all 5 topics in one session.

New Disciples Luncheon: On select Saturdays, immediately following the Orientation, we provide a luncheon specifically designed to provide you an opportunity to meet the Pastor, church leaders and other new disciples.

Certificates of Completion: For those who have completed the Orientation, you will receive your Certificates of Completion during the New Disciples Luncheon. If you are unable to attend the luncheon, see someone in the New Disciples Ministry for your certificate.

Baptism Candidates: If you are a candidate for Baptism, you will be contacted via letter and/or by telephone to begin the process of preparing you for baptism. Click for baptism dates.

Right Hand of Fellowship: On Communion Sunday, (celebrated on the first Sunday of the month) following your completion of the Orientation and/or baptism, you will be invited to receive the right hand of fellowship by the Pastor, Ministers, Deacons and Deaconess.

Tithing Number: You will receive your tithing/offering number during registration as a new disciple. Secure this number and use it when you make an offering during the Sunday service. This number will be used, for tax deduction purposes, to provide you a record of your contributions throughout the year.

Deacon Assignment: Shortly after joining Mount Aery, a Deacon will be assigned to you. You can fill out the slip found in Sunday's bulletin for the name of the deacon that has been assigned to you. You can also request this information from the New Disciples Ministry.

Bible Study: If you opt to complete your Orientation during one of the Saturday sessions, we urge you to attend Sunday School of which we offer several sessions at 10:00 AM. We offer OT classes and New Testament Classes. Pastor also offers weekly Bible Study on Wednesdays at 12 Noon and 6:30 PM.
