In the loss of a loved one, we your Church family at the Mount would like to mourn with you through these important life experiences. However, we need to be informed immediately when these experiences occur in your life. Please contact the church office at 203.334.5757. Give the staff the deceased person’s name and their relationship to you.

If you are not the contact person, be sure to give the contact person’s name and number so Pastor, Minister on Duty and/or the Deacon Chair can call to complete arrangements for the celebration of life service.

If the deceased person is from out-of-town, please do the following as soon as possible:

Give the decedent’s name

Give the date and time of the funeral

Give the name and fax number of the funeral home or church where  we can send correspondence from Pastor and your Church family

A donation is not necessary from members of the congregation for funerals, though appreciated.

If Pastor approves the use of the sanctuary for a non-member, a donation is expected and Pastor will give the amount directly to the family.

Repast

Members – food can be prepared for up to 75 people. Additional people would require a donation.

Non-members – food is not offered. If the Bass Hall is available, the family may bring in food (no pork) that is already cooked as well as the necessary paper goods for the family at a time limit of 1 ½ hours. Your donation amount will reflect use of the hall.
