How many
worship services do you have?
We currently have two worship services: Sunday at 8:00 a.m.
and 11:00 a.m. In addition, we have Bible Study every
Wednesday at 12:00 p.m. and
6:30 p.m.

to attend Sunday service, but I don't have a way to get
there. Can the church help?
Yes. Our Transportation
Ministry can assist you if you live within the travel
boundaries. Contact the Transportation Ministry at

What do
we do when the weather condition is bad?
Sunday morning worship
celebrations are not cancelled due to inclement weather.
However, if
conditions are such that
Pastor cancels worship or any other calendar event, the

Is Pastor Bennett's
biographical information available?
Yes. We recognize our pastor preaches across the country and
this information is often needed. You may get this

We
would like for Pastor Bennett to speak at our event. Who do
we need to contact?
To request Pastor Bennett for a speaking engagement, please
submit your formal invitation via fax to Ramona Berry his Administrative
Assistant at 203.334.6808 Ext: 10 or send an e-mail to
ramona@mtaerybaptist.org . Please allow at least five
business days for a response.
If I'm
in the neighborhood, can I stop by and see Pastor Bennett?
Although Pastor Bennett enjoys speaking with all Mount Aery
disciples and the general public, his schedule does not
permit impromptu visits. If you would like to meet with him,
you should schedule an appointment via his Administrative
Assistant at 203.334.2757 Ext.10. You will be required
to provide the purpose of the meeting. Depending on the
nature of the meeting, you may be directed to meet with
someone else on staff.

DISCIPLESHIP
How can I
become a part of Mount Aery?
Before
the end of the "Preaching Moment" the Pastor will extend
an "Invitation to Discipleship". This is where he will offer
series of prayer, and once God speaks to your heart,
you will then leave your seat and
walk towards the altar. If you have never receive Jesus
Christ as your Lord and Savior, this is a step
towards doing so. If you are
saved but have no "church home", this is a step towards reuniting
with our congregation. You are not required to speak before
the church. You will then be escorted into another room for briefing.
This is where you will receive your personal New Disciple
Kits including Orientation Class and
Baptism Class schedules.
What are
the privileges of membership?
As a disciple of Mount
Aery Baptist Church you are
privileged to join and serve in various ministries. Also,
you have a staff ready to address your needs and you are welcome
to services provided by the church.
How can
I get baptized?
Candidates for baptism must attend a baptism class -
third
Saturday of the month at 11:00 a.m. and the last Friday of
the month at 6:30 p.m. The actual baptism service is held on
the last Sunday of the month at the 11:00 a.m. service. For more

I've recently
moved. How can I let the church know?
To update any information; change of address, marital
status, children, business information, etc. you can notify
the church by either sending an e-mail of your previous and

MINISTRY
How can I
join a ministry?
You must first complete the New Disciple Orientation Class
and Spiritual Gifts Class. You may then join a ministry by
either attending a meeting of that ministry or contacting
the ministry leader via telephone or e-mail. Some ministries
have orientations and other requirements. Visit the
ministry pages on this site for more information.
I want
to share Christ with others. How can I do this?
Mount
Aery Baptist Church offers variety of classes in Christian
Education to well equip you to minister and evangelize to
others. Contact the administrative office at 203.334.2757 to
find out when new classes are forming.
I've
been a disciple of Mount Aery for some time and I'm still
unsure of what ministry to join. Can you help?
God has given each of us spiritual gifts and special
abilities for His purpose. It is imperative that every
Christian work within his/her gift. You may need to take
the Spiritual Gift Class to know where you will effectively
utilize your gift for the Kingdom building.

CHRISTIAN EDUCATION
I want
to teach a Christian Education Class. What do I need to do?
To teach at Mount Aery Baptist Church, you must complete the
Academy of Ministry Certification curriculum. Contact Rev.
Thomas Williams at 203.334.2757 Ext. 15 for the prerequisites for these
classes and when new sessions are forming. Interested
individuals must display the spiritual qualities and
Christian maturity necessary for the teaching of God's Word
and leading
God's people. Additional requirements for entrance into this
certification process and for a leadership or teaching
position at Mount Aery include being:
1) a faithful tither, giving at least 10% of your gross
income, 2) a regular attendee of Bible Study, Sunday school,
or some form of spiritual growth.
Does
Mount Aery offer bible-based classes regarding finances?
Yes. Two of the major purpose of the Financial Freedom
Ministry is to educate and inform the disciples of Mount
Aery Baptist Church by offering on a regular basis,
workshops and seminars in the areas of "Budgeting and Debt
Cancellation" and "Strategies for Building Wealth"
What other
Christian Education classes does the church provide?
The Christian Education department offers quarterly classes
throughout the year. Classes will be announced in advance.

SERVICES
I know
someone having financial difficulty. What can the church do
to help?
Mount Aery Baptist Church provide benevolence through the
Deacons Ministry. It is designed to assist members and
non-members in times of need. Contact the Deacons Ministry

How can I
let the church know when someone is ill and needs prayer?
To notify the church of a member, friend or
your family member
that is sick, or hospitalized, please contact 203.334.2757
ext:10 or 203.334.2757 ext:28 . Caller should provide the
person's name, location (hospital, nursing home, etc.), and
additional relevant information. The person will be added to
the church prayer list and visitation list.
My
relative has passed away. How can the church assist me in
this time of bereavement?
If you need to report a deceased member, friend, or
family member you should contact the church office at

I am
going through a difficult time in my life and need
counseling. What does the church offer?
Mount
Aery Baptist Church offers confidential, individual, marital and family, pastoral and
clinical counseling to all members. Please call
203.334.2757 ext:10 if you have any questions or if you
would like to schedule an appointment.
I would
like
to get married at Mount Aery.

Baby
dedication ceremonies are held during the 11:00 a.m. worship

It depends. If
you want to attend a worship service and require special

I would
like to use the church facility for a non-Mount Aery event.

procedure?

How
can I order tapes?
Tapes are available for purchase immediately after each
services at the Olmec Center, our bookstore located in the
Wilson Hall. You may also call the Audio Ministry at
203.334.2757 ext:22 or send an e-mail to
audiomin@mtaerybaptist.org .
Be sure to include the date of the
service, or the sermon title and the preacher.
How can
I get an announcement reed from the pulpit?
All pulpit and bulletin announcements must be received by
the Administrative Assistant to Dr. Bennett no
later than Wednesday @ 5:00 p.m. All announcements must be
submitted in a formal format, which includes: name of
event or activity, date, time and location. Fliers may be
submitted either by e-mail to
admin@mtaerybaptist.org, on disk or original hard copy. Please note that
the Pastor or the presiding minister reserves the right not
to read the submitted announcement.
How can
I get an announcement on the Website?
All church and ministry announcements for the website must
be submitted via the e-mailed to
webteam@mtaerybaptist.org no later than Friday at
5:00pm. The Website and announcements are updated at the
beginning of each week.
Placement of announcements
in our church bulletin, newsletter (Message from the Mount)
or the website is not
guaranteed. Church and ministry announcements take
precedence over outside announcements. Outside announcements
are placed based on space availability.
Can
members submit articles to be
published in the
Message from the Mount?
Yes, disciples can submit articles, poems and story ideas to
publications@mtaerybaptist.org. Submittals must be
Christian-based and of community interest. Articles deemed
inappropriate will not be published.
